As organizations expand their digital footprint, business continuity vulnerabilities increase. While digitalization enables speed of change, it brings new risks as dependencies on digital assets including business processes, digital grids and networks increase. Variety and number of cyber-criminal activities have been penetrating organizations even in regulated environments. These experiences are driving an increasing number of security profiles organizations need to manage. Finding and understanding the vulnerabilities have been challenging, adding other layer of complexity organizations need to manage for maintain trust among its customers and stakeholders, and for market sustainability. Variety of organizations including enterprises and universities from across the world are engaging with the National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST) and Institute of Electrical Engineers (IEEE) in development of the standards for governance of Cloud based assets. The framework for managing cloud based assets includes business services and processes, and for auditing will be shared in this presentation.
Presenter Norma Antunano
Norma has worked for variety of organizations including Medtronic, Honeywell/Allied Signal, 3COM, Broadcom, Hewlett Packard, Baker Hughes and more recently for major financial and insurance institution in the areas of product and quality engineering, global quality, business processes and compliance, Software as a Service, IT strategy and operations. Norma holds Master in Engineering Sciences, MBA, and PhD in Engineering Philosophy, is ASQ’s Fellow, Master Six Sigma Black Belt, and Certified Software Product Manager. She has authored content for ASQ, IEEE, and for AHFE (Advances in Intelligent Systems and Computing, Springer Publications), has served as national MBNQA examiner for multiple years, and has delivered and mentored hundreds of presentations for customers, executives, worldwide conferences, and certification boards. For over 10 years, Norma has facilitated education for more than a thousand students at credited universities. She is Senior IEEE member participating in IEEE/NIST standards development of Cloud Federation and Software Defined Networks, and has consulted in the areas of IoT and IA.
