Austin IoT Group and ASQ Austin Section Joint Event: Video Analytics Solutions Presentation & Demonstration – June 26th

 

Attend to learn how video is used today, including an overview of video analytics, privacy and video retention and future trends in video centric environment. Also covered an IoT hands-on demonstration on how a simple motion sensor and camera can be converted to an intelligent IoT device with image and video capabilities.

Chuck Reeves is a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Smart Spaces and Video Intelligence Division of Hitachi Vantara, based in Santa Clara, CA. With a corporate background of strategic sales and business development, Chuck also has extensive experience as a former law enforcement official in the Dallas Fort Worth area. His in-depth understanding of Smart Cities technologies, video intelligence and analytics is supported by 18 years in the industry with companies such as Tiburon (Tritech), Intergraph and more recently, Motorola Solutions.  As a former law enforcement official, Chuck served in virtually every division of the Police Department, which included Field Operations, Criminal Investigations, Special Investigations (Vice, Narcotics and Juvenile Crimes) as well as Captain of the Support Services Division, which included Emergency Communications and Technology. Chuck is a graduate of the Bill Blackwood Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas, as well as the Southwestern Legal Foundation School of Police Supervision. Chuck resides in Richardson, TX, where he enjoys weekend travel and family time with his three grandchildren.

Adil Dalal: Director Solution Architecture, Hitachi Global Social Innovation Business

Adil Dalal is a Director, Solution Architecture for Hitachi, Global SIB. He is also the incoming President and co-CEO, Austin IoT. He is certified in ioT and in IoT Digital Business Transformation. Adil’s passion is to use IoT, Machine Learning and Artificial intelligence to improve the quality of human life while making organizations more profitable. Adil was the CEO of Pinnacle Process Solutions, Intl®, LLC, past-Chair of ASQ’s Human Development & Leadership division and also the CEO & founder of Patriots4OurHeroes (P4OH), a non-profit organization serving veterans and the families faced with PTSD. Adil has pioneered several key advances in lean and in project leadership, and is the recipient of the 2015 ASQ Crosby Medal, 2014 Shingo Research and Publication award and 2013 Axiom Business book award for his first publication “The 12 Pillars of Project Excellence: A Lean Approach to Improving Project Results.” Adil has also authored “A Legacy Driven Life” and co-authored ASQ’s “Lean Handbook” and ‘Changing Your World”.

Adil Dalal will provide a hands-on demonstration of how a simple motion sensor and camera can

8:15 pm – 8:30 pm: Announcement of an IoT Workshop Series (David Brixius and Darren Swan)
David and Darren will announce the launch of an IoT workshop series Austin IoT will be offering,
beginning in July of 2018.
