Job Title: Quality Engineer II

Purpose: Responsible for participating in the design and implementation of processes relating to the company’s quality standards. Analyzes complex quality events, leads cross functional teams to drive investigations of product, process, or systemic issues to root cause, develops corrective/preventative action, and coordinates customer reporting. Recommends upgrades to processes and quality systems that are focused on continuous improvement. Lead and/or perform internal and external quality control audits to include but not limited to product, process, customer, and supplier audits. Assures compliance to inhouse and/or external specifications and standards. Maintain quality data for accuracy and report generation, as well as own quality related MES setups. May provide technical training and guidance to various groups within the organization. Lead Change Board meetings, Process Improvement Teams, and other quality teams. Establishes and maintains quality documentation. Provides on-call production support for QA and Final Audit after hours and weekends.

Knowledge / Experience:

  • Minimum of three years quality control experience within the Semiconductor/Electronics    Industry
  • Sufficient knowledge ISO 9000, IS0 14001, ISO 27001 and IATF 16949 preferred
  • Demonstrated understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, failure analysis techniques, laboratory testing and analysis concepts, and product characteristics for trouble shooting purposes
  • Experience with Oracle platform and Adhoc/Reporting database queries
  • Knowledge of statistics, process flow diagrams, control plans, and FMEA a plus
  • Has knowledge specific to Quality (i.e., certified lead auditor, CQA certification from ASQ, CQE, CQM a plus)
  • College degree in Engineering or related field. Equivalent experience may substitute for degree
  • Preferred experience in:
    • Internal/Lead Quality Auditor
    • Change Management Process
    • Final Inspection / Final Audit
    • Excel/VB Macro coding
