The talk is called “The Non-Traditional Search”, in which the speaker will review the changing environment in which business is adjusting to shorter product cycles and the overall speed of change. David’s messages are focused on pressing attendees to define themselves as a business entity and to adopt behaviors that ensure they can be resilient in the changing work environment.

David Hughen is a Cofounder and Principal of Austin HR. He brings over 25 years experience driving creative human resource strategies and solutions. Austin HR has provided outsourced HR services to over 500 clients in the Central Texas region adding significant value to their operations and positively impacting their bottom line. Hughen’s emphasis is on optimizing employee commitment and productivity—linked to the organization’s strategic business goals. He has the rare advantage of partnering with a number of early to mid-stage companies in a consulting capacity as well as leading human resource operations of prestigious companies such as Applied Materials, Exterprise, ClearCommerce, NEC Electronics and HelioVolt in a variety of industries — including semiconductors, internet, software, hardware and clean technology. He holds Bachelors and Masters of Science degrees in Human Resources and Organization Development from the University of San Francisco.
