Ensures compliance to Production Schedules and Delivery Dates

Deploys Lean Six Sigma Manufacturing practices and tools for one of our semiconductor new product initiatives, OpTegra IA

Supports Manufacturing Teams optimizes process methods and process flows

Works with Future Value teams to enable seamless transition from TD/NPD to Harvest

Defines the acceptance criteria and quality management systems as well as implements SPC in manufacturing

Supervise the Cleanroom Specialists monitoring and improving key metrics, worker safety/quality/productivity through data driven analysis, implementation of 5S and leadership

Required Skills

Qualifications:

Must have minimum of 3-5+ years experience in High Volume manufacturing supervision and/or engineering

Must have Engineering degree from an accredited university/college (Mechanical, Manufacturing and Industrial preferred)

Experience leading teams and improving manufacturing processes through data analysis and working with cross functional teams (manufacturing, quality, planning, supply chain and process/applications/equipment engineering) preferred

Cleanroom experience preferred

Semiconductor manufacturing experience preferred

Must have strong computer skills in Excel and an ERP system such as SAP

Strong communication (both verbal and written) and leadership skills

Must have team leadership/project management experience as well as a lean manufacturing, continuous improvement and quality mindset.

We are currently searching for a Quality Engineer. This position supports the Quality needs of the Semiconductor & Solar Business Group, with a focus on the Integrated Indirect Materials (IIM) Strategic Initiative. This engineer will have primary quality function responsibility for the IIM Initiative, acting as an in-house quality expert concerning a portfolio of inorganic/ceramic materials, including sapphire, quartz, silicon carbide, silicon and alumina and their applications. This engineer will work closely with the internal development team, as well as suppliers and customers, as we execute our IIM strategy. This engineer will also lead the quality aspects of the integration of IIM manufacturing into Greene, Tweed operations.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Provide quality support to the New Product Development/Future Value process in the Semiconductor business. Be the point of contact for quality for new product or technology launches. Responsible for developing and implementing the Quality Plan for each launch.

Work closely with customers, gathering the Voice of Customer on Quality requirements for NPD/FV projects in the Semiconductor business, and then integrating them into GT development efforts and our suppliers.

Use advanced Quality Planning tools to assess and mitigate risk for the company as NPD projects move through the development process.

Work closely with GT Supply Chain on the qualification and development of suppliers, including supplier qualification/certification, evaluation, ratings, performance improvement, and the flow down of customer & GT requirements.

Conduct audits, as appropriate to ensure compliance, including closing out of audit findings, determining proper and sustainable corrective and preventative actions, etc.

Review technical documents from suppliers, customers, the Semiconductor Industry, etc, and interpret them from a quality perspective, integrating appropriate requirements into our processes. Write necessary documents for GT use as required.

Active participant on the IIM Project Team.

Responsible for continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system, such as 5S, kaizen lean methods, etc; as well as root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventative actions that are sustainable for process concerns. This includes investigating and responding to customer complaints.

Leadership in statistical analysis and statistical decision making, including SPC, leading to process and performance capability.

Required Skills

Qualifications / Proficiencies

5+ years in the Semiconductor industry in Quality/Technical position.

Working knowledge of Semiconductor processes and products.

Demonstrated Leadership skills.

Experience with advanced Quality planning tools, i.e., FMEA, DOE, DFM, etc.

Able to manage multiple projects.

Ability to work in teams and influence people

Education

B.S. in an Engineering required

ASQ Certifications a plus.

Six Sigma Black/Green Belt certification a plus.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for performing routine and annual inspections related to test, gages, instruments and equipment.  Work independently and with others to ensure quality improvement and maintenance of hardware and devices throughout the manufacturing process.

General Functions

•             Assist Quality Engineers in completing testing of products and/or processes.

•             Represent QE department on project teams.

•             Operate and perform programming duties for CMM measurement equipment.

•             Inspect and test incoming materials, instruments and implant components.

•             Inspect and test completed implant devices.

•             Inform suppliers and management of inspection results and trends.

•             Prepare and complete internal and supplier Corrective Action Requests.

•             Perform gage repeatability and reliability studies.

•             Assist in Supplier Quality and Process Audits, as scheduled.

•             Document all activities in a manner compliant with regulatory requirements (QSR, MDD, CMDR, ISO, etc.).

•             Perform other duties with guidance from Quality Engineers.
