Topic:

Bodyhacking is an emergent and growing trend within humanity.  Many of us have been bodyhackers for most of our lives and may not even realize it.  The desire to become your more ideal self is a strong motivator.  Recent and ongoing technological advancements now provide the means to actively pursue such a goal.  In this lecture, Dustin D. Trammell will explain what “bodyhacking” is and how impact is monitored through  two bodyhacker case-studies (himself and YOU). He will then highlight both the most recent and upcoming BodyHacking Conventions.

Dustin D. Trammell is the founder of both the annual BodyHacking Convention (BDYHAX) as well as the monthly BHAT COLONY (BodyHackers of Austin Texas) meetup.  Dustin has also founded many other successful hacker and technology groups and events such as the InfoSec Southwest (ISSW) hacker conference now in it’s 6th year and the long-running Austin Hackers Anonymous (AHA!) meeting which just recently celebrated it’s first decade and has spawned dozens of “*HA!” offshoot meetings all across the country.  Dustin is also a venture capitalist, entreprenuer, information security researcher, events producer, game designer, and puzzlecrafter.  Dustin self-identifies as a bodyhacker through aesthetic body modification, wearable technology, health and nutritional supplementation, and quantified self practices which will be detailed in the case-study section of the lecture.
