DESCRIPTION:
The list of quality improvement methods is long and growing as seen from the increasing number of books and articles published. Various improvement methods have been embraced by numerous manufacturing industries. Many other types of organizations such as non-profits, health care, and government including the military are also utilizing them. This talk will focus primarily on Six Sigma and Lean and will provide overviews to these popular methodologies, describe a successful corporate deployment along with examples, and offer some musings on future directions including careers.

THE SPEAKER/FACILITATOR:
Allan C. Howard has been involved with quality improvement for most of his career. Since 2000 he has served as a Six Sigma Master Black Belt at three large, multi-national companies training and consulting on a wide variety of projects including manufacturing, supply chain, market/sell, and research & development. He is a senior member and Certified Quality Engineer, American Society for Quality (ASQ).
